Caledonian

Caledonian is a new project at the heart of one of the most exclusive communities on the coast: Finca Cortesin. Located in Casares, between Marbella and Sotogrande – this extensive project covers 215 hectares which also houses private villas, a palatial hotel, golf course, beach club, spa, five first-class restaurants and a heliport, with 24 hour security.

There are just six homes in Caledonian with 3, 4 and 6 bedrooms, and all benefit from natural light, top quality materials, finishes and installations. The façade, roof, cladding, waterproofing, heating and air-conditioning systems, ventilation and exterior joinery, plumbing and hot water systems, electricity and telecommunications systems, are all designed to guarantee high levels of energy efficiency and low consumption.

Fully equipped kitchens finished in matt white lacquer with solid unit fronts stand out from the aluminium structure. The appliances are of course also high-end with an extra-large fridge with ice-making facility, oven and hob, microwave, induction hob, wine cooler, dishwasher and super quiet extractor fan.

The bathrooms can be customized to suit the client, with options to finish in natural white stone - from Thassos marble (one of the whitest marbles in the world) to Carrara marble in bamboo texture – or other types of stone. If the client prefers a more contemporary look, they can choose monolithic slabs. The taps are in chrome-plated brass. All the bathrooms are spacious and light-filled, with walk-in shower stalls.

Underfloor heating and cool ceiling air-conditioning provide uniform hot/cold distribution throughout. In addition, the insulation combines a conventional system with a reflective system, which also includes an inert gas panel.

The house is accessed by means of a biometric fingerprint scanner with a system based on reading and encrypting the hot spots of the fingertips. The software learns with every use, recognizing the growth of children’s fingers and changing user habits, as well as identifying tiny injuries. An audio and video channel connects the whole house to allow for any subsequent installations.
